Heat Pump Installation in Mt. Kisco
Challenge
This customer lives in a home originally built in the 1880s. When he called us to explore the potential for a central AC system, we had to keep in mind not only the unique build of the house, but also a careful budget. He had never heard of heat pump technology, and decided that he wanted to keep his oil boiler for wintertime heating.
Solution
Our team worked tirelessly with this customer to design and install the system best suited to his needs. He went with a ducted central system throughout the house using high-efficiency Daikin equipment. While he was only planning to use it for AC in the summer, and was cautious about using the heat pump central system for heating purposes, and had therefore kept his oil boiler, our team advised him to run the heat pump in the winter just to see if he liked it. After that first winter, this customer called us back and said that he wanted to completely remove his oil boiler. He had run the heat pump as suggested, and noted that though his electricity had increased a bit, he had completely eliminated the $1000 in oil per month he had been paying before.
