In this home we removed the old, dirty, fiberglass insulation and replaced it fresh, clean, cellulose. We then topped the cellulose with a foam board that has an R-20 value and installed plywood on top of that in order to create a storage area in the attic.
Through the process of removing older fiberglass insulation and installing our favorite alternative, cellulose, we were able to effectively shield this home from the temperatures outside.
