Attic Insulation in Ossining NY. We removed old R19 insulation and replace with blown cellulose that has an R value of 60. All penetrations to the attic were air sealed with foam. Attic stairs were covered with a David Lewis hatch cover.
By insulating the attic with Silver Glow and installing a hatch cover, this homeowner was given the ability to control the temperature in their home efficiently and affordably.
The first photo is during the removal of the old insulation. The after shows a little bit of all the of the work we did here: SilverGlo™ EPS foam board with radiant barrier along roof line, gable ends and between floor joists, dense packing with TruSoft Cellulose & ZypFoam all edges and openings.
